A small bunch of bananas leans across the middle of this canvas, their yellow skins covered in dark bruises, the stems at the top gone nearly black. I think of it as banana wall art for people who like their fruit with some damage on it. Behind the bunch sit warm cream, cold teal and deep blue, with small squares of colour and loose white scribbles over everything.
What interests me is the temperature clash. The bananas are the warmest thing in the room, and the background keeps pushing back with cool blues and greens. An ordinary kitchen object ends up looking like it has something to say.
This is a hand-finished lithograph. I go over each one with my own acrylic brushstrokes, then add a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear, so the surface has real relief. It is stretched, framed in black and measures 60x80 cm. Each lithograph has its own serial number and a certificate, and each one is made to order.
As a pop art lithograph it fits above a kitchen table, and it suits art for cafés just as well. Good banana wall art should be easy to like at first glance and still have texture to find later.
The original painting is still available and ready to ship, and I can also paint a new version to order in any size.
Every artwork is made to order — we confirm availability, production time and delivery before payment.
