Rows of green currency symbols run down a black field: dollars, euros, bitcoin B's, Ethereum diamonds, Litecoin L's. Over them hangs a gold question mark that crumbles into square pixel blocks as it falls. In the lower corner a pale, grinning figure in a top hat and dark round glasses holds up a pair of scales, a dollar sign on one pan and a bitcoin on the other. I wanted this crypto wall art to ask a plain question without answering it. Which one do you trust, and what will the year in the title bring?
The black ground keeps all that noise calm. Above a sofa it works as statement wall art, and next to a desk the gold adds some warmth.
This is a hand-finished lithograph, one of my pop art prints, 60 x 80 cm. After printing I go over it with my own acrylic brushstrokes, so the surface has real paint on it and not only ink. A textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear, which leaves a slightly raised, tactile layer. The piece is stretched on a stretcher bar and comes in a black frame. Like other contemporary art prints from me, each lithograph has its own serial number and a certificate. Every one is made to order.
The painted version of this crypto wall art is the original painting, acrylic on canvas, 85 x 50 cm, from 2021.
Every artwork is made to order — we confirm availability, production time and delivery before payment.
