A bearded man in a black judge's robe holds up a golden scale. On one pan is a stack of $100 bills, on the other a pair of open iron shackles. His face is split into strips and patched with gold rectangles, and behind him run thin chart lines labelled CNY and ETH. It is money wall art about who gets weighed, and against what. I left the answer open.
The black robe is dense and glossy, so the gold and the colour blocks on the left stand out hard. It reads from across the room, and I think it holds up when you stand close.
This is a hand-finished lithograph, a pop art lithograph that I finish myself. I paint my own acrylic brushstrokes on top of the print and add a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear, so the robe, the gold and the shackles have real relief. It is stretched on a stretcher and framed in black, 60 x 80 cm. Each lithograph has its own serial number and a certificate, and it is made to order. Among contemporary art prints it is one of the darker ones, and as money wall art it works as a statement piece in a hall, a study or a studio.
The original painting is sold, but I can paint it to order in any size.
Every artwork is made to order — we confirm availability, production time and delivery before payment.
