«Love»

A dark room, a green chesterfield, and above it a giant yellow frame holding a dog that looks as if it has just seen the whole scene. That is Love, my pop art love painting, as a lithograph. On the sofa a couple shares an intimate moment, a small brown dog watches from the lilac floor, and a synthesizer keyboard lies near the rug. The title sounds sweet and the picture is deliberately awkward, which is the joke. The dog's portrait is sliced into glitch strips, so even the artwork on the wall looks like it is buffering.

This is a hand-finished lithograph, so each one is more than a poster. I add my own acrylic brushstrokes on top of the print, and a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear, giving the frame and walls a raised surface you can see when the light falls across them. These pop art prints are stretched on a stretcher bar and come in a black frame, 60×80 cm. Each lithograph has its own serial number and a certificate, and every piece is made to order.

If you want a pop art love painting that is more joke than valentine, this pop art lithograph sits well in a living room, a bedroom or a hallway. The photos on the site show the original painting, not the lithograph. To order, message me on Instagram or by email. The painting it comes from is the original painting.
