«Picasso Dreams»

She has pink hair, freckles and a stare that does not blink. Her face slides out of alignment, black bars cut across it, and monogram patches sit under her eyes. On her arms and chest the tattoos are cubist faces in red, green and blue, with a weeping figure at the centre.

I like the idea of an old masterpiece living on skin, as a picture you carry rather than hang. For me this is picasso pop art in the plainest sense: the old master goes on the body, and the glitch goes on the face.

This hand-finished lithograph carries my own acrylic brushstrokes on top, so you can feel the paint. I add a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear. The lithograph is 60x80 cm, stretched and framed in black. Every piece has its own serial number and a certificate. If you collect pop art prints or just want a bold wall, this one works well as pop art for living room spaces.
