A skyline of blue glass towers rises over a yard flooded with plastic bottles, and a girl in a flower-patterned dress sits between the two, holding a red shopping bag. This social commentary art print is about how one place can carry a polished image and a rough everyday life at the same time, and how easily we look at only one of them.
Glitch strips cut across the scene, and small pink, blue and orange pixel squares drift over it. A shack, a stove and a table of dirty dishes sit on one side, and the glass district stands on the other. Nothing is explained. You decide which half you believe.
This is a hand-finished lithograph. I add my own acrylic brushstrokes by hand, and a textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear, so the surface has real relief instead of flat ink. Among pop art prints, hand-finished work like this feels closer to a painting than to a poster.
The lithograph is stretched and framed in black and measures 60x80 cm. Each one has its own serial number and certificate. As statement wall art it suits a living room or an office wall, anywhere a picture can start an honest conversation.
