«Salvador Dali Dreams»

She is covered in Dali. His upturned moustache looks out from one sleeve, a spiral shell and a rocky shore run down the other, and a red rose rests on her chest between two long-legged elephants. Spheres float across her stomach. Her face is sliced into strips that slip sideways, and small colour blocks hang in the black space around her like a Mondrian that wandered in.

I made this as my take on a dali pop art painting: a surrealist's dream pictures worn as tattoos by a woman who looks calmly down at them. The diamond necklace and gold rings keep it glamorous. The broken face keeps it honest.

This is a hand-finished pop art lithograph. I start from the printed image and then add my own acrylic brushstrokes, so the surface has real brushwork and not just ink. A textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear. Because every piece is finished by hand, these pop art prints are never exactly the same twice.

The lithograph is 60 x 80 cm, stretched on a stretcher frame and set in a black frame. Each one comes with its own serial number and a certificate.
