Benjamin Franklin, the face of the $100 bill, stands in a black three-stripe tracksuit with smeared clown makeup and dripping hair, counting red yuan notes on a machine. This money wall art print is about trust and fakes: a famous portrait on real money, a knock-off logo on his chest, and charts behind him that nobody can really read.
The background is gold, with hand-drawn lines labelled BTC, Brent, CNY and ETH. Glitch strips slide across his face, and blue, green and yellow blocks add a Mondrian-like grid. It is loud, shiny and a little uncomfortable, which is how I like it.
This is a hand-finished lithograph. I add my own acrylic brushstrokes by hand, and a textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear, giving the surface real relief. That makes it a different thing from an ordinary pop art lithograph that stays flat.
It is stretched and framed in black and measures 60x80 cm. Each lithograph has its own serial number and certificate. Gold and black make it easy to place as art for office walls, in a meeting room, a lobby or a home study.
