Her hair is the loudest thing on the canvas: orange-red, heavy with texture, running down in drips. Under it she stays calm, a profile with a blue eye, a jewelled flower tucked behind the ear and the word love in red on her forehead. Then the picture glitches. The face and neck shift sideways, black bars cut across, and a lotus, a bird and a black and white pattern of hearts take over below the collar. I see it as figurative pop art about one woman holding several selves at once.
This pop art lithograph is finished by hand. I paint my own acrylic brushstrokes over it, then add a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear. The hair and the dark background keep a raised, tactile surface, close to the oil and acrylic original. The lithograph is stretched, framed in black and measures 60x80 cm. Each one has its own serial number and a certificate, and it is made to order. Most pop art prints skip this step. Mine do not.
As figurative pop art, the colour and the black ground make it good art for cafés, and it holds its own over a sofa too. Message me on Instagram or by email to order, and I will tell you about timing and delivery to your country.
The original painting is sold, but I can paint a new one to order in any size.
Every artwork is made to order — we confirm availability, production time and delivery before payment.
