A woman in a cream knitted sweater reads a picture book, back turned, braids pinned up. Over her head, a notification bubble: zero likes, zero comments. Her face is split into sliding strips, as if the screen can't load her properly. It's glitch art about what gets attention online and what gets scrolled past.
Its pair, Glitch in the matrix, shows the same pose nude, with 13K comments.
This is a hand-finished pop art lithograph, 60 x 80 cm. After printing, I paint over it by hand in acrylic, around 40 to 50 percent of the surface, and add a textured gel that goes on white and dries completely clear. Up close there are brush marks and relief that ordinary pop art prints don't give you.
It arrives stretched on a stretcher, in a black frame, with a serial number and certificate. Quiet enough for a reading corner, it's glitch art that also works as pop art for the living room.
Made to order via Instagram or email. The original painting is a single 120 x 90 cm canvas.
