Van Gogh, painted in thick, restless strokes, with a one-dollar bill taped over his mouth. It's money wall art with a punchline: the painter who barely sold anything in his lifetime, gagged by the money his work would later bring in. Black bars cut across his face like a censor's marker.
This is a hand-finished pop art lithograph. The image is printed first, then I paint over it by hand in acrylic, which ends up covering 40 to 50 percent of the surface. A textured gel goes on last, white at first and completely clear once dry, so the brushwork catches the light. Most pop art prints are just ink.
Size 60 x 80 cm, stretched on a stretcher and set in a black frame. A serial number and certificate come with it.
As money wall art it reads from across the room and gets sharper up close, which makes it a good fit for an office or a studio wall. Made to order: message me on Instagram or by email.
Want the full-size canvas? The original painting is 120 x 90 cm.
Every artwork is made to order — we confirm availability, production time and delivery before payment.
