«Revelation»

Revelation is a pop art portrait of a woman with her arms raised and her eyes closed. Her hair is a tangle of heavy red-orange strands, her face is cut by glitch strips, and her body reads like a page of tattoos. It is about what we show on the outside and what is written underneath.

The palette is simple: black background, white clothes, one hot patch of orange hair and a few Mondrian-style blocks. That makes this pop art portrait of a woman easy to place, and it holds its own as statement wall art above a sofa, a desk or a bed.

Each print is hand-finished. After printing, I add my own acrylic brushstrokes by hand, and a textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear. Contemporary art prints are usually flat. This one has a surface made by hand, so it changes as the light moves. It arrives stretched and framed in black, 60 x 80 cm, with its own serial number and a certificate.
