A woman in a dark cap and an enormous pale plume glances sideways at you. Glitch strips cut across her face, and her bib and sleeves are covered in luxury monograms and flowers. It is a stately old portrait pushed through a shop window, and that clash is what makes it fashion pop art for me. The streetwear logo on her cap keeps it honest.

Colour blocks and tiny pixels break up the black ground, and the scratched surface behind her looks like a wall someone has worked over. As fashion pop art and as statement wall art it holds a room without trying hard, and it is loud enough to be the first thing people ask about.

This is a hand-finished lithograph, 60 x 80 cm. Once the print exists I go over it with my own acrylic brushstrokes, so the surface carries real brushwork and not only ink. Textured gel goes on white and dries completely clear, which gives the image a raised, tactile finish. That is the difference between ordinary pop art prints and a hand embellished pop art lithograph. It comes stretched on a stretcher and framed in black, with its own serial number and certificate.
